The Marc Guéhi transfer saga may be coming to an end.
Manchester City is closing in on a long-term deal for the 25-year-old, with the transfer fee expected to be around 20 million Euros, Fabrizio Romano reported on Friday.
A verbal agreement has been reached on a contract that would run until 2031, per Romano.
Crystal Palace has been reluctant to let its captain leave South London and even kept the defender from moving to Liverpool on deadline day last summer.
Ultimately, with Man City dealing with injuries to John Stones, Rúben Dias and Josko Gvardiol, the pressure to sell may have become unavoidable, especially with Guéhi’s contract set to expire at the end of the season.
The England international made 186 appearances for Palace, scoring 11 goals and recording seven assists.
During his time with the Eagles, he captained them to victories in the FA Cup in 2025 and the FA Community Shield later that same year.
With the deal yet to be made official, Guéhi is not expected to feature in City’s trip to Old Trafford for the Manchester Derby on Saturday.
